Metallurgical Associates Inc. provides a full range of ASNT Certified Non-Destructive Testing services (NDT) performed by nationally accredited ASNT Level II and Level III engineers. Level III is the highest ASNT Certification and authorizes Metallurgical Associates to train, test and certify your personnel to ASNT Levels I and II for companies who would like to bring these services in-house.

NDT can be provided on site at your facility, in the field for equipment that is in service, or in our Milwaukee Wisconsin laboratory.

• Liquid Penetrant Inspection (PT) to identify cracks and defects which are open to the surface of a part or component.
• Visual Inspection (VT) More than "just looking", VT is a methodical analytical examination which directs the subsequent course of analysis.
• Magnetic Particle Inspection (MT) to detect surface and sub-surface cracks and defects in ferrous materials.
• Ultrasonic Inspection (UT) to identify sub-surface cracks and defects as well as quantify their depth from the surface. Ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
• Ultrasonic Thickness Gauging to quantify thickness of storage tanks, pressure tanks and cylinders, reactor vessels, etc. and thickness reductions due to corrosion, erosion and other degrading processes.
• Radiography (RT) to identify internal dimensions or defects.
• On-Site NDT Testing at your manufacturing facility or in the field at the components installed location.
